10 Must Have Travel Toys for Toddlers
Traveling with a toddler can be difficult, to say the least. From planning to keeping everyone entertained it can be super stressful. We recently did a 9 hour road trip with my almost 2 year old and these toys and activities kept my toddler entertained the entire way!

1. Baking Sheet
Yes – really. This was a lifesaver for our last 9 hour road trip! My toddler was so entertained with being able to take magnets and stick them to the baking sheet, as well as it served as a great tray table for lunch and helped my toddler not lose her toys. Make sure the baking sheet is steel and not aluminum or the magnets won’t stick!
2. Magnetic Toys
Magnetic toys were a huge hit on our trip. Before we went I bought large magnetic toys that my toddler could use and wouldn’t be too small for her to play with. She had so much fun moving them all over the baking sheet.
3. Magna Doodle
This brought back so many memories! This toy was a huge hit on our trip and it continues to be played with at home. My toddler loved drawing with the pen and having different colors appear. She’s also learning about shapes at school and loved the little stamps (and it was nice they pop back into place so no loosing any pieces)!
4. Melissa and Doug Play House! Reusable Sticker Set
This was a last minute buy that I’m so glad I got. This set has 5 different house scenes and a bunch of reusable stickers to create different scenes like baking, brushing teeth, playing outside and more.
5. Magnetic Dress Up Princess Set
My daughter is all about Disney Princesses lately and absolutely loved being able to dress them up in different dressed. We used this on the baking sheet so all the pieces would stay put.
6.Water Wow Books
Finally a way to color without the mess! These books just use water to create colorful pictures that kids can re-use. Simply let the coloring book dry and then it’s ready to be used all over again!
7. Toddler Busy Board
This has been on our must have list for a few months now and it still isn’t getting old with my daughter. We originally bought this for a flight when she was 18 months old and she still loves playing with it.

8. Sesame Street Letters on the Go
I’m all about compact toys and loved how compact this was and how it stored everything nicely. My toddler is starting to learn the alphabet and had so much fun picking out letters and seeing her favorite characters.
9. Wikki Stix Lil’ Traveler Playset
Wikki Stix are a fun mess free art activity using wax sticks. They’re bendy so you can create different shapes and the kit comes with different activity ideas.
10. LeapFrog Learning Remote
My toddler’s obsessed with remotes and cell phones so I knew this would entertain her. She liked pushing the buttons, singing along with the songs and recognizing the shapes (and I liked that there’s a volume control so it doesn’t get too loud)
