Air Fryer Sweet Potatoes are a quick and easy side dish that you can prepare on a busy weeknight!

One thing I've started adding to my grocery list each week are a bag of sweet potatoes. They're an easy side dish to prepare that takes almost no prep and my family loves them. We love making them in the air fryer because they come out perfectly crispy, are a healthy side dish and it doesn't heat up my house in the summer.

? Equipment
? Ingredients
- 3-4 medium sized sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into slices or chunks (about 1 inch each)
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
? Instructions
- In a medium bowl, mix together the sweet potato slices, olive oil, salt and garlic.
- Pour the sweet potatoes into the air fryer basket and spread evenly.
- Close the air fryer and set it to 400 degrees and cook for 10 minutes.
- After 10 minutes, flip the sweet potatoes and cook for another 3-5 minutes on 400 or until crispy and browned.
?Recipe Tips and Variations
- The seasoning in this recipe can be swapped out for different types! Some of our favorites are garlic powder, onion powder and Italian seasoning.
- Cook time will vary based on which air fryer you have. I like to do 10 minutes and then do 3-5 minutes (flipping each time) until cooked.
- Sweet potatoes can also be cooked in an oven. To adapt this recipe for the oven, preheat an oven to 400 degrees and place sweet potatoes on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until sweet potatoes are browned.
- Leftover sweet potatoes should be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. I don't recommend freezing leftovers.
