A few weeks ago I came across a bag of crunchy chickpeas at Whole Foods and decided to try them out – I was instantly hooked! They’re super crunchy and satisfy that salty craving, but are also a healthy snack.

After going through way too many bags in our house (those things are expensive!) I decided to try to make some in our air fryer. It ended up being so easy to make and tasted even better than the store bought ones.

Recipe Tips and Variations

  • To dry out chickpeas I like to place them on paper towel and then cover with another paper towel and let sit on the counter for an hour. I find that drying them out before cooking helps make them even crunchier!
  • The spice mix can be customized to be more spicy by adding in more cayenne pepper

How to Store Leftover Chickpeas

Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days on the counter. I don’t recommend freezing leftovers.
