Fruit salad is a staple in my house. I like to make a big batch on the weekends and have it during the week to snack on. I also like that fruit salad helps get my toddler involved in cooking with me and trying new fruits. When we would go grocery shopping, she would help pick out some of the fruits and was excited to try new fruits.

How to Cut a Kiwi

To cut a kiwi, I like to cut the kiwi in half and then spoon around the edges to remove the fruit from the fuzzy exterior. Once removed, cut into small pieces.

How to Store Leftovers

Leftovers should be stored in an airtight bowl in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Recipe Variations

The great thing about fruit salad is that you can use almost any fruits you have on hand. Some of my favorites to use:

  • Seedless Grapes (I like to cut in small pieces for my toddler)
  • Mandarin oranges
  • Pineapple
  • Blackberries
  • Raspberries

I do not recommend using bananas in fruit salads because they brown so quickly. If you do want to use banana, make sure you eat the salad the same day.
