Growing up I used to love uncrustables. Recently we went on a road trip and I re-discovered them and became hooked on them again. I love how easy they are as a grab and go lunch and how mess-free they are for my toddler.
Homemade uncrustables are so incredibly easy to make and are made at a fraction of the cost of store bought versions. These are great for camping, road trips, and to pack for school lunches.

What Do I Do With Extra Bread?
After taking off the crust of the uncrustable, you can use the extra bread in other dishes! A few of my favorite recipes using extra bread are Lauren's Baked French Toast Casserole and Lisa's Homemade Crouton recipe.
Recipe Tips and Variations
- Uncrustables are great frozen! To freeze, wrap tightly in saran wrap and then place in an airtight freezer bag. Freeze for up to 6 months. To defrost, take out to the freezer 5-6 hours before serving.
- Frozen uncrustables are great for school lunches! Take directly from freezer and put in a lunch box and it'll defrost in time for lunch.
- This recipe is customizable and can be used to make a variety of uncrustables. My favorites are peanut butter and nutella, tuna fish sandwiches, and ham and cheese.
