How long does fresh hummus last?

Freshly made hummus can typically last in the refrigerator for about 4 to 7 days. However, it’s so irresistibly delicious that it probably won’t even last that long before it gets devoured!

Our family goes through at least 2 batches of hummus a week!

Easy Hummus Recipe

    Ingredients

    • 3 Tbsp lemon juice
    • 2 garlic cloves minced
    • 1 tsp salt
    • 1.5 cups cooked chickpeas
    • 4 Tbsp ice water (or to your desired consistency)
    • 1/2 cup tahini paste
    • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
    • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil and more to drizzle
    • 1 tsp coriander finely chopped
    • Smoked paprika to garnish

    Instructions

    • Start by combining lemon juice, garlic, and salt in a food processor or blender. Blend until the garlic is finely minced.
    • Add chickpeas, ice water, tahini, cumin, and olive oil to the mixture. Blend until it's smooth
    • Give the hummus a taste and adjust the seasoning according to your preference.
    • Enjoy with fresh pita, veggies or your favorite side!
