How to Get a Free Peloton Membership

To get a free Peloton membership you’ll need to check with your insurance provider to see if they have this benefit.

Many have a reimbursement program for gyms, and lately, they’ve begun adding Peloton to this.

United Healthcare, for example, recently announced its free Peloton membership program.

United Healthcare will cover a free digital membership for a year or provide a waiver for 4 months free of an All Access Membership (basically, insurance will cover about $155 towards your membership).

United Healthcare has begun e-mailing customers about this new perk and will provide them with a code to redeem with Peloton for their free membership.

The coverage begins September 1,2021.

All Access vs. Digital Membership

So what’s the difference between an All Access Membership and a Digital Membership?

An All Access Membership is the membership that’s required when you have a Peloton Bike or treadmill.

This membership is a little more expensive than the digital membership because it does give you advanced metrics, as well as unlimited user profiles for everyone in the house.

A Peloton digital membership is a less expensive option if you don’t have the Peloton bike or treadmill.

This membership allows 1 user to stream the content on a device of their choice – like your phone, tablet, or a TV.

Digital members have access to all classes and content, but don’t have metrics like cadence, resistance, or distance and generally don’t show up on the leaderboard.

Peloton Membership Discounts

If your insurance company isn’t offering a reimbursement plan at this time, there are other discounts available directly through Peloton.

If you’re a healthcare worker, teacher, or in the military you can qualify for a discounted membership. Contact Peloton support to activate your discount.

Final Thoughts

I love seeing that insurance companies are beginning to offer incentives for Peloton and I’m really hoping more will add it to their benefits.
