How to Make Quinoa in the Instant Pot

Making quinoa in the Instant Pot is the easiest and fastest way possible! Simply combine the quinoa and water and turn on the Instant Pot. Quinoa comes out perfectly fluffy every time.

Quinoa is one of my favorite superfoods. I make a big batch every week during my meal prep to use throughout the week with our lunches and dinners.

If you’ve ever wondered how to make quinoa in the Instant Pot, I’ll show you exactly how to in this blog post. Making it in the Instant Pot is great for meal prep!

What is Quinoa?

Quinoa is a delicious and healthy gluten-free grain that’s packed with nutrients. It’s similar to rice but slightly nutty. It can be found usually in the rice section of the grocery store.

Ingredients

To make quinoa in the Instant Pot you’ll need:

  • 1 cup quinoa
  • 1 cup water

How to Make Quinoa in the Instant Pot

  1. In a bowl, rinse the quinoa
  2. Combine the quinoa and water in the Instant Pot.
  3. Seal the lid and set on manual high pressure for 1 minute
  4. Allow the Instant Pot to naturally release for 13 minutes or until all liquid has been absorbed.

Recipe Tips and Variations

To double this recipe, use 2 cups quinoa and 2 cups water and allow to naturally release for 15 minutes.

Quinoa is a great base for a quick healthy lunch! I like to use it for Southwest Quinoa Bowls, fruit salad, and white bean soup. It’s also great served as a side!

Cooked quinoa should be stored in the refrigerator in an airtight container for 5-7 days. I don’t recommend freezing it.
