How to Stack Peloton Classes
Class stacking is now available on Peloton and I am so excited! Since I’ve moved on from the last Power Zone training, I’ve started focusing more on strength classes and am participating in the (unofficial) Peloton Hardcore on the Floor monthly calendar. In the challenge, the group will give 4-5 recommended classes to do each day and I’ve found the easiest way to keep them all sorted and in order is to create a class stack.
Update: Peloton recently released an update for iPhone and you can now stack from your phone!
What is a Peloton Class Stack?
A class stack is basically a customized playlist of classes. You can select between any type of workout and add it to your stack. When it comes time to work out, just click a button and your stack will start (you also have the option to skip any classes in your stack or exit the stack). Class stacking can only be created on the Peloton website or through the Bike at this time but can be played on any device.

I’ve been stacking classes for a few weeks now and love this new feature! The night before my workout I’ll go on the Peloton site and schedule my workout for the next day and it’ll pop up the next time I get on my bike or open the app.

How to Stack Peloton Classes
Stacking classes is super easy to do! On the Peloton bike, tread or on their website (the feature’s not rolled out on the app yet stacking is now available on your phone!) you click the button next to stack that has a plus sign in a square and it’ll add the class to the stack. Add as many classes as you want and that’s it!
The next time you go to your home screen you’ll get a popup about your stack and it’ll ask if you want to start the stack.
How to Stack Peloton Classes on an iPhone
Stacking classes on the iPhone is so easy now. This is a recent update so if you don’t see the button to do this make sure your Peloton app is up to date.
To stack classes, click on the class you want to take and then click on the little stack button next to “Schedule”.
Once you click on it you’ll get a confirmation that the class has been added to your stack.
Continue to do this with all the classes you want to add to your stack.
Modifying the Stack
You can also modify the stack once it’s created. When you click on the stack you can see the classes in it or select the option to modify. This is where you can move classes or remove them from the stack completely.

Doing a Stacked Workout
Once your stack’s done, you can go to the main screen and you’ll get a popup asking if you want to start the stack. Click on that and then click begin and the first class will pop up with the class info.
After you complete the class, you’ll get a new button on the top of your screen that asks if you want to continue stack. Click on that and it’ll show you the next class that comes up, and then once you click that it’ll show the class details.
.I really like that they have it set up like this because it gives me a little time in between workouts to get set up or run to the bathroom (Peloton if you’re reading this – please come out with a pause button during classes for us preggos!!).
The downside to stacks is that you can’t skip through warm ups or cool downs, so you’ll basically be watching those in every video. I usually end up doing the warmups and then when it comes to the cool downs I’ll skip the the next workout (and I’ll usually schedule a longer stretch at the end). The stack feature also doesn’t currently work with the new custom scheduling feature, but I haven’t really found that to be an issue.
Overall the new stack feature is a great new feature and I recommend checking it out.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Peloton Stack?
A stack on Peloton is like a playlist of classes. You select which classes you want to add to your stack
If I Change my Mind Can I Cancel the Stack?
Yes – in between each class you have an option to continue on to the next class in the stack or exit
Does Stacking Classes Skip the Warm Up or Cool Downs?
No, once you enter into the next class in a stack it’s just like a regular class and has the full intro, warm up and cool down.
Can I Create a Stack on the Peloton App?
Not at this time. Stacks can be created either on the Peloton website (which can be accessed on your phone) or through the bike or tread. You can, however, play stacked classes on the app. The stack feature is still fairly new so hopefully an app version will be coming soon!
Can I Schedule a Stack?
At this time you can’t schedule a stack with the new scheduling feature but I wouldn’t be surprised to see this feature come soon.
Do Stacked Classes Autoplay?
No, once you complete a class in your stack the next class will pop up and let you choose to either take the class or skip it.
I like the stack, but it’s four taps to get into my main ride: Continue Stack > Start > Start > Skip Intro. I wish you only had to hit Start once and you could set an option so that you always skip the intro.
Yes!! I wish they’d add that feature!
