We all know that it's important to get in our servings of healthy fruits and vegetables, but let's be honest - it's hard! Here in Minnesota the fresh produce isn't the best (especially in the winter), and lately it's been hard to find fresh fruits and veggies - or even frozen or canned versions.
When I started seeing ads for Kencko popping up on my newsfeed I was intrigued. Could a smoothie packet be the answer I was looking for? I also really liked that unlike other smoothies, Kencko smoothies could be prepared without a blender so I didn't risk waking up my kids.

What are Kencko Smoothies?
Before I get too far - what exactly are Kencko smoothies?
Kencko smoothies are freeze dried fruit and vegetable packets that are mixed together to create different smoothie flavors. The benefit of them being freeze dried is that they keep all the same nutritional benefits as whole organic fruits and vegetables, but are extremely convenient in powdered form.
In addition to smoothie packets, Kencko also makes gummies (or gumdrops as they call it) and meals in the form of bowls.
The smoothie packets are way more than just freeze dried fruits and vegetables though. The blends include other ingredients like cinnamon, papaya, chia seeds, cayenne pepper, blue spirulina and more. They also don't include any added sugars or sweeteners.
The smoothie powder blends are really unique and they all have different health benefits, ranging from immune support to anti inflammatory benefits to improving skin health.

Ordering Kencko
I decided to order a variety of the smoothie packets to get an idea of the different flavors offered. I decided to do a mix of the chocolate mints, tropical blues, ambers and beet reds.
Ordering Kencko was really easy and only took a few minutes. They also had an option at checkout to add on a protein add on, but I decided to hold off on that for now since I don't usually add protein to my smoothies.
The smoothie packets arrived very quickly and arrived with a special smoothie bottle for mixing. The bottle separates in a few different spots, as well as has a line on the bottom of the bottle so you know how much liquid to add to the smoothie. This is super helpful when I've been on the go and need to make a quick shake.
How to Drink Kencko
There are a few different ways to drink Kencko, but my favorite is to just water. It doesn't make the smoothie too thick or too thin but makes it just the perfect consistency for me. Sometimes I will add in almond milk when I have time, but otherwise when I'm on the go just adding water is enough for me!
If you did want to make the smoothie thicker, you could mix it with milk - either dairy, almond milk, or even oat milk. This would be another great way to bump up the protein in the shakes! I've also heard that coconut water is another popular base!
Once you decide on which base you're going to use, all you need to do is add it to the shaker cup and add in a packet of smoothie mix and shake. The beauty of these smoothies is that you don't need a blender or any special equipment to make these. This is a huge bonus to me because I often want a smoothie when I'm on the go or while my kids are napping, so the fact that I can still have a smoothie without dragging out a loud blender is awesome.

Taste and Texture
I was impressed with the taste and texture of Kencko smoothies. The chocolate mints were my favorite flavor, but all the ones I tried were really good! The consistency of the texture isn't like what you'd find as a blended one, but it's more of a lighter drink. The smoothies were a little grainy from the freeze-dried fruits, but it was incredibly easy to drink and made the smoothie taste fresh and delicious. I also liked that the smoothie flavors were unique and none of them tasted overly sweet.
If you wanted to make the smoothie have a thicker consistency, you could add in a frozen banana or some frozen berries.
My Review
Overall I really like Kencko and love how convenient they are. All the flavors I've tried are delicious and I love that they have a lot of different varieties. The shaker bottle also comes in really handy for shakes on the go and there's no need to worry about a blender being too loud.
I also love how convenient the packets are. I had tried other smoothie delivery services in the past that would send big bulky shipments that would take up so much space in my fridge and freezer (and sometimes even arrive spoiled ugh).
With Kencko, I don't have to worry about that. The packets can be stored in my pantry, diaper bag, or purse and are ready to use whenever I need them.
I would definitely recommend trying Kencko if you're looking for a convenient, tasty, and nutritious smoothie. It's perfect for on-the-go and I'm so glad I gave it a try! I'm excited to give the other flavors a try.
Are They Worth It?
I think the Kencko smoothies are definitely worth it! The packets come out to. be about $2.50 each, which is way less than a smoothie at the gym or if you were the buy all the ingredients individually.
Final Thoughts
I definitely recommend trying Kencko if you’re looking for a convenient, tasty, and nutritious smoothie. It doesn't require any special equipment or blenders to make the smoothies and the packets can be stored in your pantry, diaper bag, or purse. There's a ton of Kencko smoothie flavors to choose from so you're sure to find a blend that you love.
Overall I think Kencko is worth it if you're looking for an easy way to get your smoothie fix on the go! The convenience factor alone makes it worth giving them a try. Plus, their mission of sustainability and decreasing food waste is something that's really important to me as well.
So, if you're looking for a tasty smoothie that's easy to make and also helps the environment, give Kencko a try! You won't be disappointed.

I see some packets are labeled for any milk and some for water. Can water be used for all of them, or does some sort of milk need to be used?

Some are suggested to be used with milk, but I've always tried with water first and they come out great. I've started to add in almond milk to some when I do protein shakes with them and it makes them a little thicker than the water based. Both versions are tasty!

Thanks for such a thorough review. I ordered mine and tried the rubies smoothie this morning. After drinking it, I did notice I had good energy and focus. I don't know if that was just a coincidence. The flavor was not sweet either, which is great. I like my smoothies less sweet. I am looking forward to adding a milk instead of water next time. I love the convenience and for the price, it is worth it. My health is worth it.

I use unsweetened vanilla macadamia nut milk and it is delicious!! It only adds 50 calories and one gram of sugar! ❤️ love
