What’s the Difference Between Margarita and Caprese Pizza?
There are two big differences between a traditional Margherita pizza and a Caprese pizza. Both use similar ingredients like mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil, the main difference lies in the type of cheese used.
Margherita pizzas use shredded mozzarella while Caprese pizzas use sliced fresh mozzarella. Additionally, Caprese pizzas often have a drizzle of balsamic glaze or reduction, adding a slightly tangy and sweet element to the dish.
