Turkey Burgers are one of my favorite dinners because they're packed with protein, can be customized to fit everyone's tastes (including my picky toddler!), and are easy to make. I love making turkey burgers in the oven because I don't have to stand over and watch them cook like I'd normally do on the stovetop.
These Baked Turkey Burgers have been one of our go to dinners for years because of how incredibly juicy they are. The secret to making them so juicy is mixing in the green chilis and red onion! These 2 ingredients help keep the burgers from drying out and make them come out perfect every single time.
Ingredients
- 1 lb 99% lean ground turkey
- 1 tbsp diced green chilis (I like mild)
- ⅓ cup breadcrumbs
- ⅔ cup diced red onion
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat an oven to 400 degrees. Line a baking sheet with nonstick aluminum foil and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, diced green chilis, red onion, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and salt.
- Form into 4 flat patties. Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
- Put the patties on the lined baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the middles of the patties are no longer pink.
- Serve on a hamburger bun or lettuce bun with desired toppings and sides.
