I'm a sucker for Instagram and Facebook ads. This month I've gotten so many ads for new non alcoholic drinks and I was getting really curious. I've been working on cutting back on drinking, especially while marathon training, and these non alcoholic drinks looked very promising.
One of the brands that caught my attention was Peak Cocktails and I decided to give them try!
Peak Cocktails advertises itself as a cocktail for athletes to help them recover, without any alcohol or negative side effects.
But does it actually work?
I decided to try it out and ordered a sampler pack. In this post I'll share with you my experience and if they're worth checking out.
•Peak Cocktails are canned cocktails that taste like mixed drinks, but without the alcohol.
• The ingredients used in these drinks include superfoods, adaptogens and nootropics to help with post-workout recovery and relaxation.
• Each can is 35 calories with 0 added sugar and has a macro breakdown of 0 fat, 9g carbs, 1g fiber 8g sugar & 0 protein.
• The variety pack contains two flavors - Passion Fruit Margarita & Blood Orange Spritz - both of which have great flavor profiles, but the margarita was a little strong and needed to be diluted with ice.
• Drinking one at night helps relax after a long day without any side effects as experienced from drinking alcohol; they also help boost post-exercise recovery time due to their functional ingredients blend.
• Overall Peak Cocktails are worth it for anyone looking for an alternative way to relax without alcohol

What are Peak Cocktails?
Peak Cocktails are canned cocktails that taste like mixed drinks, but don't contain the alcohol. Instead, the cocktails have ingredients like superfoods and adaptogens that are designed to help athletes with their post-workout recovery.
While they're geared towards athletes, you don't have to be an athlete to enjoy them! Anyone can use and enjoy them and feel the benefits. My husband doesn't work out and really enjoyed these as well!
Inside each can of Peak Cocktails are a blend of super foods, adaptogens and nootropics - if you're like me and have no idea what that means, it's basically blends of functional ingredients that help you destress and relax.
To get a little more detailed, here's the ingredients they mention on the cans:

I ordered the variety pack that contained both of the flavors Peak Cocktails currently has: Passion Fruit Margarita and Blood Orange Spritz. I was really happy that they shipped pretty quickly and a few days after I ordered they arrived!
The first one I tried was the Passion Fruit Margarita. This one is like a spicy margarita and has hints of jalapeno - and they weren't kidding when they say hints! I found this one to be really strong in flavor on it's own, but when I diluted it with a little ice it tasted a lot better to me.
The second one I tried was the Blood Orange Spritz. This one tasted a lot lighter and sweeter than the Passion Fruit, but it still had a really nice flavor. It had a little fizz to it and made me feel like I was sipping on a fancy cocktail.
Both the margarita and spritz left me feeling more relaxed after drinking them and were a really great way to destress after a long day. I found that one at night was perfect at helping me wind down and relax. It wasn't the same feeling as alcohol has, but it did the job of relaxing me and the next morning I didn't have any side effects as I do with wine!
