As a busy mom, I know first-hand how hard it is to keep up with everything on my plate.
With two little kids, it’s been a while since we’ve gone out, never mind to a Super Bowl party.

I started searching around and that’s when I discovered Southside Market & Barbeque. They offer gourmet sausage, smoked meats, sauces, and seasoning all delivered right to your door.
I needed something fast that would impress, so I decided to order. In this post, I’ll share with you our experience with Southside Market & Barbeque and if it’s worth ordering from.

What is Southside Market & Barbeque?
Southside Market & Barbeque is a restaurant that has a few locations in Texas, but they also started shipping their products nationwide.
They offer all different kinds of premium sausages, smoked meats and gift sets.
They also have a wide selection of rubs, sauces and seasonings.
Ordering
For our first order, I decided to try the Sausage Slammers, which were sausages stuffed with cheese and jalapenos. These looked like they’d be a perfect appetizer to bring to the party.
Ordering was really easy to do on their website and I placed my order online and received an email confirmation a few moments later.
Southside Market has exceptional sausage and barbequed meat products that follow the same authentic methods from founder, William Moon, that consists of smoking low and slow over real Texas post oak wood. Their well-loved beef sausage, Sausage Slammers and signature Elgin Hot Sausage has quickly grown from an Austin staple to dinner tables around the country.
Delivery
A few days later, the sausage arrived on my doorstep still frozen in a big box. I put them in the freezer for a few days before I was ready to serve, then the night before the party I put them in the fridge to thaw before I cooked them.

Our Experience
Although I was a bit nervous cooking them off for the first time, it couldn’t have gone any better. There were two different options for cooking the sausage: either grill or oven, but in the interest of time I chose the oven.
The sausage slammers cooked for 20 minutes on one side, and then flipped. I was a little nervous with how they’d come out but after the final 10 minutes they smelt amazing and looked perfectly cooked! We checked the temperature and it was exactly 165 degrees and ready to eat!
I packed up the sausage to bring to the party and they were a huge hit!
The sausage was perfectly cooked, and the jalapeno cheese filling was the perfect touch. I didn’t think the jalapeno was too spicy, but my kids said they were a little too spicy for them. They were a hit with the other adults at the party and everyone was asking where they could buy them. The sausage slammers ended up being the hit of the party!
Overall I was really impressed with the sausage slammers and am going to be trying more of their products in the future, especially when summer comes around and we can start grilling again!
