How to Sync a Coros Watch with Peloton (Broadcast AND Record Workout)

I love my Coros watch, but one thing that was bugging me was that I couldn’t sync it with my Peloton treadmill to display my heart rate.

I figured out how to broadcast my heart rate, but when I did that it wouldn’t log my miles on my run.

It was super frustrating.

However, I finally figured out how to broadcast my heart rate AND log my miles! This has been a gamechanger for me because now I can actually see my heart rate on screen, as well as get a strive score after each class.

In this article I’ll show you exactly how to do it so you can pair your watch with your tread for your next run!

Why Broadcast Heart Rate?

Broadcasting your heart rate isn’t required to do a Peloton run, but it is a nice feature.

When you connect your heart rate monitor to a Peloton tread not only does it broadcast your heart rate, but it also gives you a Strive score to measure your effort on the workout.

I like to broadcast my heart rate because I run based off my heart rate zones, and depending on the runs I want to keep my heart rate under a certain number.

How to Sync Coros with Peloton

Ready to sync your Coros watch with treadmill? Here’s how to do it! I’m using a Coros Apex 2 to do this tutorial, but it should be similar with other Coros models.

Step 1: Set Your Watch to Indoor Run

On the wheel scroll down to indoor run, and click ok to select it.

Step 3: Scroll Down to “Broadcast Heart Rate”

Scroll down and click on “Broadcast Heart Rate”. A pop up will appear that says that your heart rate will be broadcast until the activity is over. That’s ok! Click the back button (bottom button) to exit the screen – don’t worry, broadcast is still activated!

Step 4: Start Indoor Run

You’re ready to start your indoor run! Your Peloton tread should pickup the Coros Watch, but if it doesn’t you might need to sync it by pairing it under bluetooth. Once this is done, you’ll see the heart rate screen popup in the top left corner.

I have noticed that sometimes the screen will popup but my actual heart rate won’t broadcast until I press start on my watch. I’m not sure what causes that, but it ends up working a few seconds after I click start.

Once you’re done with your workout you can click end workout and your watch will stop broadcasting heart rate and finish the workout. You’ll now have your mileage – which you can calibrate if it’s off from the tread distance.

And that’s it! Repeat this each time you do a Peloton treadmill workout.
