How to Make Creamy Cream Cheese
The secret to making the cream cheese to come out super creamy is allowing the cashews to soak. The longer the cashews soak the creamier the “cream cheese” will be! I like to store my cashews overnight in water for ultimate creamiest, but as long as you let them soak for 30 minutes the “cheese” will come out creamy.

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups raw cashews
- water
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond yogurt
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp everything bagel seasoning (if you can’t find this at your local grocery store you can easily make your own)
What is Everything Bagel Seasoning?
Everything Bagel seasoning was first created by Trader Joe’s as “Everything But the Bagel” seasoning and it became really popular. It’s a blend of spices that are usually found in Everything Bagels. The seasoning originally was only found at Trader Joe’s when it first came out, but it’s now available at Amazon, Wal-Mart, Target and other grocery stores.

How to Make Homemade Everything Bagel Seasoning
If you can’t find Everything Bagel seasoning in stores you can easily make it at home.To make simply combine these ingredients (more or less depending on your preference) in a bowl:
- 1 tbsp black sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
- 4 tsp dried minced garlic
- 4 tsp dried minced onion
- 1 1/2 tbsp poppy seeds
- 2 tsp sea salt
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the cashews with enough water to cover the cashews and cover. Allow cashews to soak for at least 30 minutes (the longer the cashews soak the creamier the cream cheese will be! I’ve found the best results are when they soak overnight).
- Drain the cashews once they’re done soaking
- In a food processor combine the drained cashews, unsweetened almond yogurt, lemon juice, apple cider vinegar and salt. Pulse until smooth.
- Stir in the everything seasoning until well mixed.

How to Store Leftovers
Leftovers should be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days in the refrigerator. I don’t recommend freezing leftovers.
How to Serve Cream Cheese
The best way to serve this cream cheese is to serve with homemade bagels. You can make plain ones, or even fancy versions like a classic asiago bagel! The only types of bagels I would try to avoid with this cream cheese are fruity bagels like blueberry or strawberry bagels.
This is a cream cheese that is better paired with more savory options.
