Are Yuuma Diaper Bags Worth It? My Honest Review

As a soon-to-be mom of 2, I know just how important a diaper bag can be. When I first started looking for diaper bags one of the most important things is that not only the bag be functional, but also stylish. I’ve been living in my Lily Jade bag for almost 3 years now but sadly it’s starting to get worn and the zipper broke. When Yuuma reached out about trying their new line of vegan leather diaper bags I was so excited to try it out!

I’ve been using my Yuuma bag for a little over a month now and it’s quickly become my new favorite bag (even when I’m not with my daughter). Not only is the bag extremely functional but it’s also super stylish and doesn’t give off a “mom’s diaper bag” vibe. What is a Yuuma Diaper Bag?

Yuuma Diaper Bags are a new, luxury diaper bag company that means “Mother” in Nigerian. The company was founded by a mom, Donnya, in a desire to be able to both grow a community of moms as well as create a better diaper bag.

Yuuma Diaper Bag Review

When I first opened my diaper bag I loved the fact that it came in a dust bag to keep it clean and safe! The bag itself was absolutely beautiful – I ordered the Dusty Rose and found that the color was exactly like I saw on their website.

I was really impressed with the feel of the bag as well. The bag feels incredibly soft and high quality. I also liked that the bag had a ton of pockets – both inside and outside, so I didn’t need to provide my own organizer like some other designer diaper bags (Kate Spade) I had tried.

I got the bag right before we were about to head out to dinner, and as luck would have it the zipper on my Lily Jade bag broke right as I was trying to pack up. Ugh! I usually like to organize and play around with diaper bags when I first get them, but with a hungry toddler I ended up quickly packing up my new Yuuma bag to bring with us.

I was amazed that while the Yuuma bag looks smaller than my Lily Jade Madeline bag, it actually held the same (if not more) inside it and it didn’t feel bulky at all. I was able to throw in my diaper changing clutch (this thing is a lifesaver), some snacks, water, my wallet clutch, 3 coloring books, crayons, and still had a ton of room. I decided to be ambitious and tried to pack in a big bag of magnatiles and shockingly not only did it fit great but I STILL had room for more things!

When we got to dinner it was super easy to sort through everything I brought and quickly grab things I needed. I also liked that the bag took up so much less space at our table!

Since then, Yuuma has become my go-to bag – even when I’m not with my toddler. It’s incredibly stylish, functional, and practical that it’s replaced my purse. It’s backpack style so it’s super easy to wear and half the time I forget I even have it on.

Plus I love that it has little pockets inside to keep things organized so I’m not searching around for the random missing toy my daughter’s upset about.

When Baby Number 2 arrives I have no concerns that I’ll be able to fit both my toddler’s gear and my newborn’s essentials inside the bag. I’ve started testing it out by adding in my Solly Wrap, burp cloths, and extra toys and I’ve still had plenty of room.

Currently, my diaper bag essentials are:

• My diaper clutch (I got one as a gift from Lands’ End a few years ago, but this one on Amazon is similar)
• Hand sanitizer
• Disinfecting Wipes
• Coloring Books and Crayons
• Snacks
• Water bottles for my toddler and me
• Toys – Magnatiles have been a big hit lately with my toddler

When Baby number 2 arrives, I’ll have most of the same things as above, but also add in baby things like my Solly Wrap, baby toys, burp cloths, and bottles.
